Welcome! Enter My World ...

Welcome to my world of inspiration, soulful love, weddings and women's empowerment. I wear many hats-- officiant, editor, author, coach and teacher. Find out how a former Editor-in-Chief of Playgirl became an Interfaith Minister. And then, an Inspiration Editor.

My first career was in journalism.

I began as advice columnist, crime reporter and features editor for Brooklyn Paper Publications and went on to become a widely published journalist, with thousands of articles in newspapers and magazine around the world.

I spent two decades investigating, experiencing and reporting on a wide range of “women's issues” and for a long time specialized in writing about romance, sexuality, self-esteem, relationship dynamics, health and spirituality.

In my very colorful career in media I was Editor-in-Chief of two national magazines -- Playgirl as well as Single Living Magazine -- and was Manhattan Bureau Chief and then Managing Editor of Women’s News.

It was always my dream to write books. I taught myself to do that by editing saucy novels for a small publishing company, and then penning a few of my own. In 1991, my first book was published on the same day my son was born. The book has been out of print for years. The son is AWESOME and is in college training in media, broadcast and accounting.

I've written about 14 books of my own, and have ghosted and edited about 35 others.

But the most amazing thing that has happened in my career is that in 1997 I got the call to ministry and at 40 years old went back to school as a seminarian. In 1999 I was ordained as an Interfaith Minister and from there I truly reinvented my life. Not only did I experience a radically wonderful career change, I met my soulmate in seminary!

Soulful love, unique weddings, inspirational writings, and women's spirituality & empowerment have been a major focus as a writer, advice columnist, teacher and spiritual counselor.

My stongest calling has been to wedding ministry. I have married hundreds of wonderful couples in the past 11 years and have helped many brides and grooms as spiritual counselor and through my work with the Bridal Survival Club. It has been a true honor to take part in people's lives as they prepare for a wedding--itis such a precious time.

I have been also touched deeply to bless babies and pets, memorialize loved ones who have passed on or sit by the bedside of someone who is dying. These experiences of service have fed my soul and taught life lessons that have transformed me.

Last year I was blessed with a special opportunity to blend my skills as a media professional with my calling as a minister when I came on board as Family and Inspiration Editor of Beliefnet. It is the largest inspiration and spirituality site on the Internet with over 3 million unique visitors monthly and it offers a huge opportunity to touch people's lives.

So now I spend my time inspiring people by day, marrying people on the weekend and writing books in between.

This website was designed to bring together the many hats I wear and hopefully inspire people in some way. So come on in. Hope your enjoy!

Many Blessings,
